We have singled out the W radical as there is just such a large number of signs that are using the three fingers raised to mean W in a sign.
Some not yet illustrated include
- Welsh/Wales (three fingers raised apart are drawn down into fist);
- Weird (thre fingers apart and sideways near temple move to center of forehead and hook back to tap head).
- Wacky (three fiingers up and apart, palm facing ear) are flicked forward.
- Womb (thre fingers sideways and apart tap stomach).
- Wild (three fingers raised draw a rapid circle in front of shoulder)
World is in this group as it was originally signed using only three fingers but over time evolved to the easier flat hand.
