It seems there is a toolbar for everything nowadays, so why not for sign language?
The SignPlanet Toolbar - ready for your website.
So here's the go. The SignPlanet.net Toolbar pulls all information from our website, so you don't need to install or configure anything.
All you have to do is copy and paste the text below into the HTML of your webpage (or onto your desktop). It also fits well into a smartphone screen if you go directly to http://signplanet.net/SPT/SPTshow.asp
The toolbar will automatically determine the country that the viewer is viewing from, and adjust the sign vocabulary appropriately.
So even if your website is in Australia, and the viewer is in the UK, it will only display BSL (British Sign Language) signs. If your website is about a certain sign language, you can force a vocab to be selected, for instance, if you have a site about New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL), you can display only NZSL signs even if the viewer is in the USA by using this code:
|Would you like to tell others about this app? You can use the above image to help us promote it|
You'll see in the second line "Vocab=NZSL" to effect this. You could also set the vocab to "ALN" for Auslan (Australian Sign), "BSL" or "ASL"
You can see it in action (and an article about it) on a blogspot blog by Lee Bilby - Here.
Enjoy the SignPlanet Toolbar!
